Under the neon light of a quiet street of Causeway Bay in Hong Kong, Director Tsai documented the city's ambience of the aftermath in 2019. The Night was inspired by the same-titled Chinese song from the 1940s. As Tsai hums during the filming, the lyrics of the song echoes: "The beautiful night is slipping away, I hate to see you go."
鍾愛華語老歌的蔡明亮，點播一首〈良夜不能留〉，迴盪在他所見的當代都市斷垣，在公民運動後，以他的方式追憶香港的逝水年華。由十幾組無情節和因果關係的鏡頭組成，從殘留活動海報的斑駁牆壁，到街道上霓虹燈映照下的宣傳語塗鴉。

THE MOON AND THE TREE is a poetic observation art capturing the life of Lee Pei-Jing, who has been paralysed for more than 40 years. The documentary is filled with personal sentiment and simplicity of life which transcend the societal perception of a person with disability.
The second part of the documentary features Chang Feng, a well-known actor from the mid-90s who sadly passed away at the age of 98 in early 2022.
拍攝年長藝人常楓和李佩菁日常生活的紀錄片，極簡中帶有詩意。如同蔡明亮過去的慢電影，當觀者和影像時空合為一體，紀錄或劇情片標籤不再是束縛，戲劇行動不再是必要，每個停格的空氣流動和時間過去的溫度變化，也是電影的一部分。
行動不便的李佩菁，在幫傭的協助下，從床上翻身，坐上輪椅，進入浴廁梳洗化妝，飯後復健，接著練唱；拄著拐杖的常楓一跛一跛穿過幽闃的長廊，站在戶外樹下凝思。時間很慢，也過得很快。

As part of the Jeonju Digital Project by Jeonju International Film Festival in 2001, Director Tsai was invited to make a short story using a DV camera. This work is one of Director Tsai's earliest documentaries. The film captures the spiritual medium's rituals including the Electric Flower Car with strippers performing for the dead and living.
蔡導11年前的短片作品，2001年由韓國全州國際影展邀請加入「全州數位計畫」短片製作計畫，拿起DV數位攝影機拍攝乩童的儀式，而其中也包括傳統宗教儀式或喪事後會出現的電子花車習俗活動。蔡導早期的紀錄短片創作，重新修復於大螢幕呈現。罕見地觀察鄉村民俗，迥異於觀眾對他的冷冽都市主旋律印象。
