The first documentary in history to comprehensively present the entirety of Taiwan's Central Mountain Range, spanning over 300 kilometres and reaching altitudes of 3000 metres above sea level.
Extreme sports enthusiasts, Ku Ming-Cheng, a retired garage owner, and Chou Ching, a trail runner who has been a member of Taiwan's Trail Running World Cup national team for four consecutive years and currently holds the highest ITRA international ranking in Taiwan, embark on a mission to break the world record for traversing the Central Mountain Range in less than ten days.
Despite their differences in age, wisdom, and generational perspectives, they share a youthful spirit for pushing limits. Each step they take represents a peak of sincerity, akin to the peaks encountered in life's journey, overcoming challenges such as life-threatening accidents, emotional breakdowns, betrayal, and self-doubt.
極限運動愛好者古明政與越野跑者周青，相差三十歲的兩人，此次征服的不是平地，而是在十天之內，登完海拔3,000公尺，南北全長超過300公里的中央山脈大縱走。他們雖然年齡、智慧和世代有所不同，但同樣擁有挑戰極限的赤子之心，每一步都是人生中的一座高峰。
這部史上第一部完整呈現中央山脈全貌的紀錄片，《赤心巔峰》計畫不僅紀錄了兩位跑者邁向高峰的艱辛旅程和挑戰不可能的成就，同時向觀眾展示了台灣的「護國神山」中央山脈。鏡頭不僅捕捉了台灣屋脊上連綿的山巒，串聯起中央山脈的風貌，還深入審視每一座山的面貌及其名稱，呈現出人與山之間的緊密連結和情誼。
