Taiwan documentary filmmaker Mickey Chen received the Yang Shih-chi Outstanding Contribution Award. Micky Chen was the front runner of telling the LGBT right and same-sex marriage stories in Taiwan in the last two decades. His film Beautiful Boy won Audience Award in 2000 and Independent Spirit Award in 1999. Unfortunately, he passed away earlier this year.
