Two best friends made a promise to burn a thousand origami stars on the night of Valentine’s day to make a wish. When the weather took an unexpected change, they found themselves stranded under the roof. Would their wishes come true before they lit up the stars?

Selected into Rotterdam and Frameline in 2019, director Su reimagined the Taiwanese cult classic THE GLAMOROUS BOYS OF TANG (1985). THE GLAMOROUS BOYS OF TANG was an epic homoerotic fantasy way ahead of its time. Based on the original version, Su uses slow motion and stylish cinematography to capture the wild glitter-scattering and blood-splattering orgy during the Tang Dynasty. 

 

當代錄像藝術家蘇匯宇借用1985年邱剛健的邪典電影《唐朝綺麗男》的再創作與致敬。乍看與原版沒有太大關係，卻是移植了部分場景，變裝後成為全新酷兒文本。身著古裝，妝容與道具卻配色怪異的人們在路上相遇，某種狂舞、交歡的解放儀式展開了。融合古代與現代，跨越想像與真實的視覺盛宴。

Adju, originally means sisterhood and has also been used by the LGBTIQ+ community from the Taiwanese indigenous group Paiwan people to express their trans identity. Director Lu follows the musical journey of Mo-Fu, who identifies as Adju. 

 

「阿督」在排灣族語裡原本是女性友伴的暱稱，近來也被引用作性別氣質不符部落主流期待的生理男性。電影追蹤原住民青年柯牧凡和陳薇，有著演藝夢的他們，透過不俗的聲音，歌頌在部落中被噤聲、人們避而不談的跨性別事實和歷史。
